Structure and function analysis of transcription-linked DNA repair
Project summary
The atomic structure and functioning of transcription-coupled DNA repair complexes is investigated using different state-of-the-art molecular visualization techniques. This complex DNA repair process protects against aging by removing transcription-inhibiting DNA lesions.
Impact
It is essential to obtain knowledge and understanding of aging processes in order to develop interventions to prevent aging diseases.
